While We Were Away Dexter.......

Our 39 pounder is now 3 years old. Yikes...We celebrated by having his first "friend" and family combined party. Yet, the occassion wouldn't be complete without a "Corey Combine" Birthday cake.

So at 9:00 am we got the party started (hence, it was already 87 degrees outside, this summer was unfathomably hot!), the kids took to the bouncy house, like I take to a Zulily sale; no holds bar baby!

Good times were had by all!

Now, I want you to be aware of a little known fact in the Midwest. It is common place for gentlemen to carry around a certain tool that, in case of a dyer emergency may be used at any second. As you can see, BDW (Big Daddy Wayne) is reaching towards his hip to possibly retrieve it. Look very closely; And no, it is an assault riffle of any kind; And yes, I am sure my father-in-law is going to love the fact that you will now be forced into looking at his caboose.

And once again, I placed Dexter into the confined tractor wheel. Ahhh, such a big boy.

But the shindig didn't stop there. Oh, no! His friends at school need to get there sugar high elevated as well.

I can't help but giggle every time, I watch kiddo's overindulge themselves with cake.

They have absolutely no concept, that their cute little faces are covered in icing. It's as though, they zone out the fact of "feeling" on their face entirely. And simply focus on the task at hand. Cracks me up observing them.

Sincerely,

I'm Baaaaack....!!!!!

Has it really been June since the last time we have conducted any form of communication?

I only have one but excuse for my repeated absence..

Oops?

Last week we attended a parade in our local area. The kiddo's were thrilled, and Dexter had a fine time entertaining.

We were all there to show our support (and indudge in a sugar fixation) for the Guest Artist at this years Quilt Show. Who we just so happen to call Grandma.

The look of sheer bliss when granddaughter sees grandmother, perched high upon the moving pedestal.

Sincerely,

Dominica & Barbados

Dominica, welcome to the land of lush rainforest's and romantic waterfalls!

We visited Morne Trois Piton National Park (No clue how to say that correctly?), there we were able to take a short walk into the rainforest's. Eventually arriving at the beautiful Emerald Pool.

We were told that several movies were shot at this location, as the waters are a brilliant color of emerald green.

Yet be prepared, the waters are alittle chilly!

The winding drive too and from the port was adventurous ( I would not recommend over consuming in rum beverages the evening prior, the outcome will not be pleasant). Yet it was really fascinating to see these little fruits popping up every where. Who knew that this is how Pineapples grow?

Gorgeous mountainous landscapes.

Onto Barbados, the child hood home of Rihanna and exclusive site of Sandy Lane where Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren were wed (costing $6,000 a night).

Yet it is also home to Harrison's Cave! This massive cave system features 50 foot high caverns, rushing streams, glassy pools and a thunderous 40 foot waterfall that cascades into an emerald lake. Amazing right?

And one of the highly recommended excursions of the group was swimming with the sea turtles.

One of the most exciting and memorable tours of Barbados. A unique experience that could never be duplicated. A real must see.

Well that sums up our fantastic Caribbean Cruise. We all had a wonderful time and hope to do it again real soon.

Baby D's First Horse Show.....

Our teeny tiny little baby rode in his very first Horse Show last weekend!

He came fully equipped with a cowboy hat, buckle, boots, button down shirt and of coarse chaps.

He even drew some spectators.

HH was encouraging Baby D to get into his mental "Zone", before the performance begins.

Right out of the gate, he does exactly what he is told, grin from ear to ear.

One lap later, this is the facial expression he decides to bear.

Yet overall it was a victory! Even with his limited attention span, he made it 2 laps around the arena and did not want to bale until it was time for the Q & A portion of the competition.

Our wittle tot won 2nd place that day.

That makes this farm wife a very happy! Can't wait to do it all again next year.

The Pumpkin Patch

Last week we loaded up the kiddo's and headed to the Pumpkin Patch....

I am sure that they thoroughly enjoyed us sticking their heads through little holes and posing them infront of pictures of goats...

As you can see, we positioned our sweet peas infront of all things pumpkin.

Yet we redeemed ourselves by taking them of a train ride.

Overall I believe that they had an amazing time.

You Know Those Birthday Pictures I Have Been Promising....

This post is designed to give you a behind the scenes look into Baby D's 2nd Birthday party. All of the images you are about to see are real, and you will be given a semi-accurate account of the events as Baby D recalls them. Enjoy.

Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me, I feel like I'm three...
Now lets eat some cake!

Wait a second.....

All of these girls are after my cake.

I'm watching you little lady...

Oh the agony, of defeat.

Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me!

Presents, my favorite part.

Holy Tractor Heaven....

It's time to bust out the big guns!
"Grandma, please summons my pony."

I got this!

I do not recall who's idea this was to have me slide down heels first on the slip and slide. But I kinda like it?

Bonzi

Do you see the reoccuring pattern here? I am continually beginning forced to plunge into this water pit. But, I think I kinda still like it, just alittle.

Weeeee....

Look out world here she comes!

OH MY THIS WATER IS CHILLY.

I think that I will just play with Louie!

What an awesome 2nd Birthday Party.

Sincerely,
Baby D
